Two Ag Focused Webinars – AFIS Recertification Qualified

Thursday, August 20, 2026 (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Attend one session or both—gain knowledge that benefits every farm and agribusiness client.

This full-day educational program offers up to six hours of continuing education focused on two of the most significant emerging issues facing agriculture today: renewable energy and environmental liability. Each session provides 3 hours of Continuing Education (CE).

Save 10% when you register for both classes!

For current AFIS designees, attendance at both classes is required to recertify your AFIS designation. Participants who complete both sessions will receive a special code following the program that allows them to renew their AFIS designation at a discounted rate.

Not an AFIS designee? You still won't want to miss these timely farm risk management topics.

Group Rate: Register 5, get the 6th free! Contact Katie Kochenower at katie.kochenower@biginebraska.org for group registration details.

Morning Session | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM CT

Power From the Farm (3 Hours CE)

Renewable energy is becoming an increasingly important part of modern agriculture. This course explores the opportunities, challenges, and risk management considerations associated with wind, methane, solar, and biomass energy systems used by farms and agribusinesses. Participants will gain insight into insurance implications, potential loss exposures, and emerging issues that may impact agricultural operations.

Afternoon Session | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM CT

Farm Pollution – Concerns and Some Answers (3 Hours CE)

Environmental exposures continue to present significant challenges for farm and agribusiness accounts. This course examines how ISO and AAIS liability forms address pollution-related losses, identifies common environmental loss exposures, and discusses potential solutions and coverage considerations for agricultural risks.

Whether you choose one session or complete the full day, you'll gain valuable knowledge to better serve your agricultural clients. For AFIS designees seeking recertification, be sure to register for both classes to satisfy the recertification requirement and receive your discounted AFIS renewal opportunity.

This program will be taught by Casey Roberts, ACSR, AFIS, CIC.

State CE credit is pending approved in Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Kentucky.  (Several Other States Pending)

If your license is in a different state, contact Katie.Kochenower@BigINebraska.org 30 days prior to class to see if CE is approved in your state.
